We needed to shoot sunrise and sunset in different locations and decided to do TIME LAPSE. Shooting time lapse with the RED camera is very easy and all you really need to do is be able to determine exposure within the time limit! That being said, you need to know that it will get darker or brighter, when shooting a sunrise or set. You can control this in a few different ways. We always use lenses with manual exposure and focus so we need to keep an eye on exposure and you can open up on the lens or close down on the lens. At times I have used ND filters and Poloa. Some of it can be taken care of in post, but you have to watch over exposure and highlights burning out! HD does not give you the latitude of film!

On the bridge we were shooting the general look of clouds flying over head and the exposure pretty much stayed the same through the shot.
