Indy - NASCAR - Trucks - Nationwide - Top Fuel - Drag- Funny Cars
In the late 1970's Kevin worked for a TV station WSPD TV 13 owned by Storer Broadcasting. As a photographer/editor he did specials, documentaries, and feature news reports. He also started freelance work with a friend at the station shooting drag races at Detroit drag way, and Milan drag way, This turned into a half hour documentary for Don Garlits, the "Big Daddy" of drag racing and Shirley Muldowney " the first woman" to receive a license to drive top fuel dragsters. This interested him further and he signed on to shoot at Indy 500 that year, this entailed working behind the scenes, shooting with sports reporters, and shooting the drivers and the race.
In the past five years Kevin has become involved in NASCAR, Nationwide, Truck Series, Dragsters, Funny Cars, and Indy. He started in photography as a still photographer and moved on quickly to becoming a director of photography in film and video shooting, TV specials, Documentaries, National, Regional and Local TV commercials and 1st and 2nd unit for features. He has a passion for speed with cars, bikes and boats! A few years ago a magazine approached him to cover the NASCAR, Nationwide, Trucks and Indy races at Miami Homestead Speedway. He bought a full system of Nikon Digital equipment (already has Nikon film) and began shooting the races and started shooting commercial and advertising for ad agencies and clients.
Today, kevin offers his award winning photography, cinematography, and directing to the motor ports world. He has won over 150 awards of excellence and has 30 years of experience in the studio and on location that will enhance your production needs. Working as a freelance or teaming with your agency or client.
