Shooting a campaign of commercials with the Red I started with 35mm film in the budget thinking HD was going to be too expensive. After talking with Indie Rentals in Hollywood and getting a good deal on the camera and lenses I started investigating the RED camera for the production. I have shot with the Sony CineAlta, and Panasonic's Varicam and was impressed with the video quality. In my opinion, After using the RED camera, I will always push for this system on every shoot! |

On Location with Playtoys inc.
Shooting ad's, brochures, and web for Playtoys Inc. is a challanging session. Models, bikes, a graphic location and only 2 hours of light to get the shots.

Having control of the lighting is the only way to create the mood for Playtoys. I need to Shoot the main shots on location and the closeups in the studio.

Digital Photography
Shooting digital with strobes in my opinion is far easier and faster than using hot (continuous) lighting. With today's strobes you can change the light settings easily and quickly and even use a remote control to do so. read more >
